If you’re on this page, you probably want my life story. Well I’m flattered you’d want to know more about me.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I grew up moving around the country with residences in Oregon, Wisconsin, and Utah. As a young man I grew up with a passion for the creative arts and writing; in fact, at 10 years old, I wrote a 100-page book!
After graduating from Layton High School in 2003, I started my undergrad at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. In 2007, I transferred to the University of Oregon to be accepted into its prestigious School of Journalism & Communication. In 2010, I graduated from U of O with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Advertising and minoring in Electronic Media.
Post-college, my professional life led me in many directions. Having worked in restaurants to support myself throughout my college years, I continued doing so for financial stability as I gained professional experience in many creative fields. While working as a front-of-house manager for Vinto Pizzeria, I managed all marketing efforts. I worked as a freelance designer, working with companies like The Overland Group, Snowbird and Lululemon. I worked as a Data & Site Content Editor for Seamless, a food delivery app. I designed and created product packaging mockups for a Vandor, LLC, a company which specializes in selling licensed merchandise.
For five years (2015 -2020), I was an integral part of a small video production company in Salt Lake City called Lenzworks Productions. We specialized in promotional/marketing videos, commercials, and original TV programming. One of the benefits of working with a small company is that I got to “wear many hats”, as they like to say. During my time at Lenzworks I contributed as the company’s senior producer, client relations manager, editor, scriptwriter, aerial photographer, project manager, creative director, grip, assistant camera, set designer and sound designer. So yes… many hats!
My most notable professional achievement there was my contributions to six seasons of “Relative Race”, an award-winning, unscripted reality television series on BYUTV. My credits include Lead Story Producer, Season Premiere Producer, Season Finale Producer, Associate Producer, Challenge Producer, and Grip/AC.
In January 2020, I left Lenzworks in search of a new challenge and joined Brooksee, a sporting event production company, as its Brand Manager. My responsibilities there include managing all visual and written communication to maintain and grow three prominent brands, including management of the design team, procurement of all brand assets and apparel, videography/photography, and all marketing/advertising content across web, email and social media. I am presently still with the company.
I currently live in South Jordan with my lovely fiancée Michelle and our two dogs, Sawyer and Finn. I’m an avid outdoor enthusiast and argue that Utah is the best place in the world for such activities. I’d take a backpacking trip in the Uintas over a stay at any 5-star resort, all day every day.
